The CJD membership Be a CJD member implies being in accordance with some values : responsibility, solidarity, loyalty, respect for human dignity and act accordingly. It means within the organization and everyday business life, claiming an entrepreneurial spirit, commitment and openness to dialogue and sharing. It means integrating an organization which is very “hands on” and highly decentralised, with 106 local and 17 regional associations, each of which has a genuine capacity for setting up initiatives. It also means benefit from a wealthy network through its social web, called JD book. Last but not least, it drives towards improving one’s own performance as well as that of one’s company. The CJD en bles each member to anticipate through thinking, to improve himself through training, to innovate through experimentation, and to influence thanks to commitment.
71 years of exploration and innovation Ever since, the CJD has been promoting the concept of companies which develop their performances within all economic, social, society-based and environmental fields. Today, some 1500 CJD members are involving their companies within a process of Performance Globale experimentation (global performance). Indeed, it is by exploring new pathways that Man will be able to find the rightful place at the heart of the enterprise. A company must be a place in which everything is possible and where wealth is created for the greatest possible number of people. |

Anticipation through thinking Bombarded by day-to-day business matters, directors are too often too involved to look ahead and devise strategic approach to their profession, activity or business.
Collective thinking & exchange play a significant role at the CJD :
-
Once a month, over 250 “committees” bring together ten or so young directors at various locations for discussing and reflecting on a theme relating to the business or to its environment (employee participation, business takeovers, dialogue between management and employees, energy issues, delegation, etc.).
-
Every year, four major national events are held, attended by several hundred young directors, during which a multitude of new ideas are exchanged, which initiate discussion, bring new ways of thinking into confrontation with one another and enrich the views of young directors, brought together within workshops.
Improvement through training
The CJD, a learning place for directors and entrepreneurs
Innovation through experimentation
The CJD, a laboratory for economic and social innovations:
-
A duty to put into practice. The CJD brings together the convictions, know-how and willingness of over 3 300 young directors who agree to innovate by implementing new practices within their company through “actions committees”. Every month, a group of young directors meets up to discuss and debate common issues such as: how to devise an ambitious strategy, how to develop innovation and expansion, how to make it more attractive through genuine HR planning, build and encourage dialogue between management and employees within the company, taking over a company, etc.
-
An essential process: Performance Globale. The Performance Globale initiative is as an innovative process involving more than 1 500 young directors who have committed their companies to balanced economic, social and environmental performance. Today, the CJD is currently working to defining a label to promote responsible businesses.
Influence through commitment
The CJD, a force for proposals
-
At the CJD, young directors are committed to promoting “an economy at the service of Man” and are pursuing a constant influential action through its publications, its public opinion stands, its proposals for reform and its involvement with decision-making authorities and various work groups (Grenelle de l’environnement (French sustainable development government policy), Grenelle de l’Insertion (professional & social integration policy), Comité STAPRO, Comité Bien être (promoting well-being in the company), etc.)
-
As an innovator, the CJD opens up new pathways and debates which often run counter the mainstream ideas. It was an early defender of courses combining work and academic study, company social assessment and profit-sharing schemes, dialogue between management and employees within SMEs. Forward-thinking is carried out in the CJD Lab and the GRANITs (Groupe de Recherche et d’Animation Territoriaux) (regional research and animation groups).
The CJD , an interlinked network open to Europe and the world
Following the success of the CJDs set up in Tunisia in 1998, in Morocco in 2001, Quebec in i 2007, and in the Czech Republic and Algeria in 2008 (and with several other projects ongoing), the CJD set up CJD International in November 2007, which brings together the various CJDs and which is involved in extending the organization worldwide. This has created a network of 4 000 company heads throughout the world, who share the same values and the same determination to progress towards “an Economy at the service of Man”. To extend its activities worldwide, the CJD also relies on a network of 25 correspondents based on 5 continents. These privileged representatives have the task of informing the CJD network of the current situation and economic and social developments in their countries, of identifying economic networks (especially movements involving young directors) and of responding to requests from CJD members who are interested in the zones concerned. They are genuine gateways to these countries for our members. Countries: England, Australia, Chile, Spain, the United States (Los Angeles, New-York, Boston and San Francisco), Finland, India (New Delhi, Bangalore and Pune) , Italy, Germany, Dubai, Haiti, the Czech Republic, Sweden, El Salvador and Russia.
